Kitten policy
We're glad you're interested in getting a new friend for life. Getting a kitten is a beautiful thing, but also a big step, so we hope you've carefully considered this wonderful decision. We'd also like to point out that we only place kittens with owners who already have one or more cats, or when there's a choice to get two kittens.
Cats are social animals, and the British Shorthair breed doesn't like being alone, which can lead to long-term behavioral problems. To prevent this from happening to your future friend, we've made this choice.
All parent cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and HCM/PKD. This is important because the health of our female cats and male studs is a priority for us. This ultimately ensures that the kittens are born healthy into this beautiful world. Our female cats are matched with a male stud of similar appearance and temperament. We therefore advocate for responsible breeding and therefore have a breeding ban on all kittens.
When a litter is born here, it will be announced on our website and Instagram page!
Future owners on the waiting list for a kitten will also be contacted.
When the kittens are around 5 weeks old, they can be visited for the first time. You will be asked to remove your shoes and wash your hands. We do this because the kittens are still very vulnerable to external diseases.
If you feel comfortable with the kitten you chose after your visit, you can reserve the kitten by paying a non-refundable deposit, which will be deducted from the final price of the kitten.
In the weeks until the kitten is collected, weekly updates will be sent about your reserved kitten.
From the age of 14/15 weeks, the kittens can move to their new home.
The kittens are vaccinated twice (at 9 and 12 weeks), dewormed, microchipped, litter-trained, and will have a European passport. In addition, all future owners will receive a fun kitten package for their friend!
We would appreciate it if the new owners would send us updates about the kittens in their new homes, and of course, you can stay in touch if you have any questions or would like to receive helpful tips.
